In true 'make do and mend' spirit, Mouse to Minx has launched its Vintage department in time for Christmas.
All the items in the Vintage Minx department have been made from either a vintage pattern, or from an original vintage source.
For example, the neat little book cover prints have been 'evolved' by The Management so that these can be customised for anyone. Inspired by her own current writing - a satire on her experiences of recession in the style of a girls' perilous adventure story, Paula has taken the idea further and can now create these little gift prints to order.
You can immortalise your friends in their own story book, and the prints are supplied to fit into a 20x25cm frame, including a mount.
Mouse to Minx is also happy to host Doris Cleghorn's diffusion line for Mouse to Minx, which she calls Cake in the Community.
Her first offering is a collection of cute little one-off pinnys inspired by an old 1950s sewing pattern she has in her cupboard. After rummaging through her considerable stash of fabrics she found a handful of simply delightful prints which she has lovingly made into aprons - just in time for the Christmas lunch.
The nature of all the items in this department will be that they are one-of-a-kind, therefore stock levels will be limited and the collection will vary.
Finally, please be reassured that Mouse to Minx uses the word Vintage as it is meant to be used. Where original pieces of fabric or other content are used these will be of a quality and a rarity you would expect from Mouse to Minx. Where new materials are used, these will be to reproduce an inspired item to a faithful vintage pattern.
